Joyful January #7: Smile At A Stranger

 Smile at a stranger!

A little poem to share:

When you share a smile
You can make someone's day
It's a simple gift of humanity
That can chase the blues away

This is a habit of mine, smiling at strangers. Sometimes you get a strange look but most often you get a smile in return :) It might not make everyone's day but it could make someone's!

There are many ways you can make someone's day and the great thing is that, like most gifting, both the giver and receiver feel good.

Smiling also helps reduce stress as it encourages the release of feel good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. Click here for a post about the benefits of smiling.

Please don't be afraid of your smile. Something beautiful from inside you glows when you really smile.

A smile is a piece of something beautiful that you possess but can give away willy-nilly and never lose, it may even grow when given away. That's pretty special.

Sending everyone here a smile today :)
